The head coach: Svetislav Pesic
Svetislav Pesic For the sheer variety of his accomplishments, Dynamo Moscow head coach Svetislav Pesic stands out among the greats of his profession. Although he triumphed as a player first, lifting the Euroleague trophy with Bosna Sarajevo in 1979, Pesic was soon guiding the team as head coach to its last Yugoslav League title, in 1983. His own next success was the 1987 World Junior Championships gold medal with Yugoslavia, after which he punctuated six years as German national coach with the 1993 European crown. Pesic then took over Alba Berlin's bench for seven seasons, winning a Korac Cup in 1995 and four consecutive German League crowns through 2000. Next, he marched the Yugoslav men's team to both the 2001 European and 2002 World Championship titles before pushing F.C. Barcelona to a club triple crown - the Euroleague, Spanish League and Spanish Cup - in 2003. Another European club trophy, the 2007 FIBA EuroCup with Akasvayu Girona, was his last before Pesic joined Dynamo and drove his new team to the Final Eight on a mission that has but a single goal - ULEB Cup victory in Turin!
