Baltic League, Game 18 (2): March 22, 2008
Hollis Price - Lietuvos Rytas The Baltic League regular season came to an end this weekend and it came as no surprise that Zalgiris and Lietuvos Rytas were the two teams to qualify directly to the Final Four on April 25-26. Eight other teams will fight for the other two remaining spots in two-way elimination rounds. The playoff pairings are: ASK Riga vs. Nevezis, Ventspils vs. Kalev/Cramo, Siauliai vs. Rock and Barons/LMT - VEF Riga, that downed Valmiera in a preliminary series that went to overtime. In the final regular season game, L. Rytas finished first with a 17-1 record by edging Kalev/Cramo 73-74 in Tallinn on Saturday behind 16 points from Jackson Vroman and Hollis Price. Andrius Slezas added 15 for L. Rytas. Travis Reed led Kalev with 14 points while Kristjan Kangur added 10 for the hosts. The winners of the first playoff series will advance to a second two-way round. Those two teams that stay alive will meet Zalgiris and L. Rytas in the Final Four in Siauliai.
