Baltic League playoffs, first round, second leg: March 29-30, 2008

BC Kalev/Cramo, ASK Riga, Siauliai and Barons/LU survived their first playoff series and will keep fighting for Baltic League glory. As such, ASK takes Kalev while Siauliai goes against Barons in the second elimination round and the winners of those series will join already qualified Lietuvos Rytas and Zalgiris in the Baltic League final four. ASK Riga stayed alive in the competition by thrashing Nevezis 96-71 in Riga on Saturday. Curtis Millage paced the winners with 20 points. Dwayne Broyles added 15, Sandis Valters and A.J. Bramlett each had 11 while Aerick Sanders got 10 for ASK. Valters, Millage and Broyles fueled a 20-1 run that gave ASK a 35-11 lead after 10 minutes. Nevezis managed to get within 75-67 but an 11-0 run that Millage capped with a layup allowed AEK to sweep the series. Kalev also swept its two-way series against Ventspils with a 68-83 road win. Kalev won the series but a 28-point margin. Mateo Kedzo paced the winners with 20 points, Travis Reed added 19, Ed Scott had 15 and Howard Frier 12. Kalev led 36-54 at halftime and cruised to the next round. Siauliai reached the nex round with downing Tartu Rock 83-85 in Estonia to sweep the series. Marius Prekevicius paced the winners with 20 points, Antonio Grant added 19, Virginijus Praskevicius had 16, Gediminas Maceina 11 and Mantas Ruikis 10. Tartu led 45-39 at halftime but a 2-18 run allowed Siauliai to break the series open, 55-68. Tartu had the chance to at least win the game but Geert Kullamae missed from downtown in his team's final possession. Barons/Lu also reached the next round with a 2-0 sweep against VEF Riga. Barons beat VEF 70-62 in the second leg behind 13 points from Kaspars Berzins.
