Kevin Melson - Hanzevast Capitals Nothing changed atop the Dutch League standings, as MyGuide Amsterdam stayed ahead everyone else with a 28-7 record and did not play this weekend, as it lost the Dutch Cup final against EiffelTowers Den Bosch on Sunday. Hanzevast Capitals improved to 21-13 and ties for fourth place by beating the Den Helder Seals 82-93 on the road on Saturday. Kevin Melson paced the winners with 27 points on 8-for-9 two-pointers and 2-for-2 triples. Alton Mason added 19, Dwayne Archbold had 14 while Raoul Heinen got 11 for the Capitals, that led 58-63 after three quarters and stayed ahead in the final minutes to add an important win. Matrixx Magixx stayed third at 24-13 by topping Zorg & Zekerheid 81-91 on the road also on Saturday. Todd Abernethy led the winners with 21 points, Tyler Smith posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds while Chris Copeland had 16 points for Nijmegen. In other games, the West Brabant Giants improved to 25-12 and stayed second by edging Upstairs Weert 71-67 behind 15 points and 11 rebounds from Tim Blue.
