Alba Berlin defeated digibu Baskets 85-89 for its seventh straight road win to improve to 22-6. Aleksandar Nadjfeji led the way with 20 points for Berlin, which is followed in the standings by Bayer Giants Leverkusen, Artland Dragons and Brose Baskets Bamberg – each with one win fewer than the previous team. Leverkusen came from behind in the fourth quarter to defeat New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig 83-80 behind 17 points apiece from Ransford Brempong and Gordon Geib. The Dragons dominated the first and third periods to record a 71-80 win at Telekom Baskets Bonn as Leon Rodgers netted 17 points, while Bamberg blasted BG 74 Gottingen 80-58 as Chris Ensminger posted a double-double. Meanwhile surging EWE Baskets Oldenburg edged the Koln 99ers 82-80 for their eighth straight win to climb to fifth place. Ricky Paulding scored 14 and Jason Gardner totaled 12 points and 8 assists to lead Oldenburg. Milko Bjelica recorded 24 points and 9 rebounds for Koln, Marko Keselj added 18 and Yassin Idbihi 15. The Deutsche Bank Skyliners led 46-23 at halftime against LTi Giessen 46ers before loosening up and settling for a 69-57 victory. Ilian Evitmoved shined with 21 points, Derrick Allen had 18 and Koko Archibong 11 for Frankfurt. Walter Tigers Tubingen dropped slumping EnBW Ludwigsburg to its sixth straight defeat, 90-88, thanks to Jermaine Anderson’s season-high 25 points. Heiko Schaffartzik had 24 points for Ludwigsburg. In other games, Eisbaren Bremerhaven pounded TBB Trier 89-67 and ratiopharm Ulm trumped Science City Jena 65-68.

The hosts led for much of the game and went into the fourth quarter leading 66-61. The lead grew even more until Alba snapped back with 12 unanswered points to go ahead. Still digibu battled on and got right back in the game, but Julius Jenkins and Dijon Thompson came up big when it mattered most, made their clutch free throws and sealed the win. Julius Jenkins finished with 17, Thompson 16 and Immanuel McElroy had 15 for the winners. Greg Jenkins had 23 points and 9 boards for digibu in defeat.

The Artland Dragons dominated the first and third periods to record a 71-80 win at Telekom Baskets Bonn. Artland led 13-24 after 10 minutes and despite letting Bonn close the gap to 3 at halftime, a 15-25 third quarter rebuilt a meaningful lead the the Dragons protected the rest of the way despite finishing the game with 21 turnovers. Leon Rodgers led Artland with 17 points, Adam Chubb added 11 and EJ Rowland and Paul Johnson had 10 each. Ronnie Burrell paced Bonn with 15. Defending champion while Brose Baskets Bamberg blasted BG 74 Gottingen 80-58 as Chris Ensminger posted a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. The hosts gradually pulled away throughout the one-sided contest in which they outrebounded Gottingen 53-50 and had 21 assists compared to the opponents’ 3. Ensminger finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds, Dwayne Mitchell led Bamberg with 13 points and 5 assists, Darren Fenn added 12 points and 9 boards and Ademola Okulaja and Mithat Demirel posted 11 points apiece. Willie Jenkins came off the bench for 20 in defeat.
