Another week, another big win for perennial champion Lukoil Academic, which saw off city rival Levski 100-79 in a midweek round of Bulgarian League action. The undefeated league-leaders were always in control after scoring 31 first-quarter points to take an early double-digit lead. Willie Deane led the charge with 31 points, Pero Antic added 21, Riste Stefanov had 15 and Todor Stoykov 11. Rob Preston scored 20 and grabbed 9 boards in 23 minutes off the bench for second-placed Levski, which dropped to 21-9. In other games, Balkan blasted Spartak Pleven 81-64, CSKA trounced Yambol 102-86 behind 30 points from Georgi Davidov and Rilski Sportist topped Cherno More Eurohold 89-82.
