Russian League, playoff quarterfinals, Game 3: April 27-28
Robertas Javtokas - Dynamo Moscow Ural Great ousted Unics Kazan with a big road win in Game 3 of the Russian League quarterfinals on Sunday and Dynamo Moscow forced a deciding Game 3 with its series against Triumph Lyubertsy. Ural Great secured a 62-71 win to advance to the semis, where it will face Khimki. Ralph Biggs scored 21 points and Brent Wright added 19 for the winners. Virgil Stanescu and Dusko Savanovic paced Kazan with 14 and Nikita Kurbanov had 10. Dynamo bested Triumph 82-75 to tie that series at 1-1. The hosts led 43-41 at halftime, but Dynamo surged ahead in the third quarter and held on for the win. Robertas Javtokas dominated inside for 19 points and 10 boards, Henry Domercant and Antonis Fotsis added 14 each and Sergei Bykov 12 for Dynamo. Terrell Lyday paced Triumph with 19, Mire Chatman scored 17 and Uros Slokar and Egor Vyaltsev had 10 apiece. CSKA Moscow awaits the winner of this series in the semis.
