Zadar and Split CO tie atop the Croatian League standings, each with a 8-1 record. Zadar thrashed Cedevita 68-88 on the road on Wednesday. Todor Gecevski paced the winners with 21 points. Rok Stipcevic added 20, Jere Macura had 17, Corey Brewer got 13 while Juby Johnson contributed 10 in an easy road for Zadar, that led 28-45 at halftime and never looked back. Meanwhile, Split topped Sibenik 93-101 on the road also on Wednesday. Marlon Garnett paced the winners with 31 points, Damjan Rudez added 23 while Hrvoje Peric got 18 for Split, that managed to keep a safe edge throughout the last 5 minutes. Defending champion Cibona improved to 6-3 by overwhelming Svjetlost Brod 115-65 in Zagreb on Thursday. Carey Williams led the winners with 23 points on 11-for-12 two-pointers. Luksa Andric added 20 on 10-for-11 two-pointers, Marin Rozic got 18 while Vedran Princ and Vedran Vukusic each had 11 for Cibona, that led 56-27 at halftime and cruised to a well-deserved win. Last but not least, Zagreb Crobenz downed Dubrava 94-61 behind 21 points from Mario Dundovic.
