Antonio Porta (Photo: www.bcspartak.ru) Euroleague newcomer Air Avellino confirmed its latest addition for the upcoming season. The Italian team announced a two-year deal with Argentinian point guard Antonio Porta (188, 25). Porta comes back to Italy after a short span in the Russian League with Spartak St. Petersburg where he averaged 7.0 points, 3.0 boards and 3.4 assists in 10 games last season. Porta is currently playing with the Argentina National Team at the Beijing Olympics. Porta grew up in Echague Parana of Argentina and in 2002 he travelled to Italy to play with Imola of the second division. In December that same year he moved to the first division with Basket Livorno until the 2006-07 season, when he switched teams to Angelico Biella before going to Russia.
