Azovmash shores up roster with signings

Ukrainian champion Azovmash Mariupol has been busy preparing for its ULEB Cup debut, bringing in three new faces and extending the contract of one of its mainstays. Centers Robert Archibald and Remon van de Hare and guard Aaron Harper join the team, while super scorer Panagiotis Liadellis signed on for another season. Archibald (209, 27) arrives from DKV Joventut, where he averaged 8.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in 19 minutes per game in the Euroleague last season. van de Hare (222, 25) played in Cyprus for AEL Lemesos last season, averaging 5.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in just 15 minutes per game, helping the club reach the Fiba EuroCup quarterfinals, where it was eliminated by none other than Azovmash. Harper (201, 26) was last with French champion Roanne, where he spent the past two seasons. Last year Harper averaged 17.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Liadellis (192, 32) posted 11.8 points for the club in the EuroCup last season, helping Azovmash reach the final.
