ASK extends Sandis Buskevics

 ASK Riga keeps preparing its ULEB Cup this season. On Thursday, the team confirmed the extension of the contract of guard Sandis Buskevics (190, 30). Last season, Buskevics averaged 6.6 points, 3.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds in the Baltic League with ASK while he had 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 25 Latvian League games, helping his team take the national title. Buskevics grew up in Ventspils where he made his debut in 1994 and left in 2003 having won four national titles. After that, he left Latvia for Turkey to play with Galatasaray and in January of 2004 he moved to Russia and signed for Ural Great Perm. The following season he moved to Dynamo Moscow Region and in 2005-06 he joined Lietuvos Rytas where he had 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in 13 Euroleague games. Last season he moved back to Latvia to join ASK Riga.
