Dragons bring in guard E.J. Rowland
The Artland Dragons inked point guard Earl Jerrod (E.J.) Rowland to run the show this season, the German club's first-ever in the ULEB Cup. Rowland (188, 26) will be looking to play his first full season in Europe with Artland. He finished the previous campaign in Latvia with Barons/LMT Riga after playing for the Townsville Crocodiles in Australia before that. Rowland averaged 10.7 points and 3.8 assists per game for Riga in six Baltic-League appearances. He played two seasons of college basketball at St. Mary's, where he was selected All-WCC honorable mention as a senior in 2005. He began his pro career in the NBDL with the Florida Flames the next season.
