A ULEB Cup newcomer is now ready to become the first Estonian team in the competition, as BC Kalev has officially confirmed three new signings through its official website. As such, playmaker Marlon Parmer, scoring ace Vladimir Vuksanovic and forward Bojan Pelkic have inked respective contracts with their new team, that also promoted power forward Joosep Toome to its first roster. Parmer (191, 26) arrives from Guaros de Lara, where he averaged 21.5 points and 8.7 assists in 5 Venezuelan League games last season. He has also played for the Quad-City Riverhawks in the ABA, Anwil Wloclawek in Poland, the Rockford Lightning, the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Yakima Sun Kings in the CBA, Bnei Hasharon in Israel, the Florence Flyers in the USBL and CSP Limoges in France. Meanwhile, Vuksanovic (206, 29) arrives from University Surgut, averaging 12 points and 4.3 points in 23 Russian League games. He has also played for Mornar Bar in Montenegro, PAOK in Greece, Khimki in Russia, Azovmash Mariupol in Ukraine, as well as for Atlas, Beopetrol, FMP and Srem in Serbia. Pelkic (206, 24) played for Montenegrin powerhouse Buducnost last season, and has also played for Anwil in Poland, as well as for Lovcen Cetinje and Niksic in Montenegro. Kalve has already announced Martin Viiask, while Valmo Kriisa, Tanel Sokk, Rait Keerles, Travis Reed, Gregor Arbet and Kristjan Kangur are back from last year's team.
