Akasvayu Girona signed veteran swingman Jarod Stevenson to take the place of shooter Antonio Granger. Stevenson (200, 32) arrives from Russian power Unics Kazan, which he helped to last season's ULEB Cup semifinal. He averaged 13.3 points on 58.4% two-point and 48.1% three-point shooting and 4.2 rebounds in 16 ULEB Cup appearances last season for Kazan. He has also played for Strasbourg and Cholet in France, Maccabi Rishon and Bnei Hasharon in Israel, Slask Wrocalw in Poland, Air Avellino in Italy, Fenerbahce in Turkey and Lokomotiv Rostov and Kazan in Russia. Stevenson's brother, Greg, will also play ULEB Cup basketball this season for Dutch champion Eiffeltowers. Granger was released from his contract last month after knee problems limited his ability to contribute to the team.
