Pero Antic - Lukoil Academic A rock-solid power forward playing some of his best basketball ever came within a single assist of a triple-double to register the top individual performance among ULEB Cup playters this week. Pero Antic of Lukoil Academic became the Week 6 MVP with a performance index rating of 39 as he led his team to a 93-77 home win against ASK Riga in Group H. Antic piled up 22 points on 5-for-9 two-point, 3-for-5 three-point and 3-for-4 free-throw shooting. He added 14 rebounds, 9 assists, a steal and 5 fouls drawn to amass his 39 index rating. Right behind with a rating of 37 was Michael Wright of Turk Telekom, who netter 30 points on 12-for-13 two-point shooting in his team's 102-99 overtime home win against Siauliai. Akinlolu Akingbala of BK Ventspils and Aleksandar Nadjfeji of the Koln 99ers each reached a 32 index this week. Akingbala had 21 points on 9-for-13 two-pointers, 3-for-3 free throws, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks despite his team's overtime road loss against Besiktas Cola Turka. Meanwhile, Nadjfeji helped the 99ers to a 81-87 road win against Elan Chalon with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Lance Williams of KK Bosna, Dan Gilbert of Guildford Heat and Guido Grunheid of Hanzevast Capitals, each with a 31 index, completed the top individual performances in Week 6.

Wright was also the Week 6 top scorer with 30 points against Siauliai and is the top overall scorer of the competition at 25.3 points per game. Antic not only was the Week 6 MVP, but also led all rebounders with 14 boards and also dished 9 assists to tie for first place with Reggie Elliott of CSU Asesoft Ploiesti and Shammond Williams of Pamesa Valencia. Antic is third in the rebounders table (8.8 rpg.) that still leads Tariq Kirksay of Unics Kazan (10 rpg.). Meanwhile, Willie Deane of Lukoil leads the assists board at 6.4 per game. Demond Mallet of DKV Joventut, Dante Calabria of Beghelli Bologna and Sergey Bykov of Dynamo Moscow each collected 5 steals, more than anyone this week, in his team's road win against Alba Berlin. Brandon Gay is once again the steals leader at 3.67 per game. Akingbala led the week in blocks with 6 against Besiktas. He is second in the overall list (2.4 bpg.), way behind Ken Johnson of Benetton Olympic Fribourg (4.17 bpg.). As many as 16 players registered double-doubles this week.
