Last 16 Game 2 MVP: Darjus Lavrinovic, Unics
Darjus Lavrinovic - Unics KazanNot only did Unics Kazan make it to the ULEB Cup Final Eight this week, but star center Darjus Lavrinovic became the Last 16 second leg MVP with a 38 index. Lavrinovic shined in his team's home win against Artland Dragons with 21 points on 5-for-6 two-pointers and 16 rebounds. He added 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks and 6 fouls drawn to amass a 38 index. Rick Apodaca of Besiktas JK Cola Turka and Ruben Douglas of Pamesa Valencia led their respective teams to the Final Eight and each got a 31 index. Apodaca led Besiktas to a major home win against Red Star with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 fouls drawn. Meanwhile, Douglas helped Pamesa with 29 points on 6-for-9 three-pointers, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Henry Domercant of Dynamo Moscow, Juby Johnson of Zadar and Vladan Vukosavljevic of Hemofarm Stada, each with a 28 index, complete the top individual performances this week.

Individual highs: Shammond Williams of Pamesa Valencia, 10 assists

Douglas was the Last 16 second leg top scorer with 29 points against Zadar. Preston Shumpert of Besiktas was the Last 16 best scorer at 28 points per game. Lavrinovic led all rebounder by pulling down 16 against the Dragons and was also led this round at 12 per night. Williams was the only player to reach dougle digits in assists by dishing 10 against Zadar. Victor Sada of Akasvayu Girona was the Last 16 assists champion at 7 per game. Fred House of Pamesa, Stefan Markovic of Hemofarm and Arriel McDonald of Akasvayu each collected 4 steals in this round. House was the Last 16 steals leader at 3.5 per game. Marc Gasol of Akasvayu had 4 blocks to lead the weekly standings and was also the leader at the end of this round (3.5 bpg.). Only Lavrinovic - 21 points, 16 rebounds - and Vukosavljevic - 23 points, 15 rebounds - registered respective double-doubles this week.
